COMPETITION: 

Our goal in this summer baseball camp is to quickly provide, develop the athlete\'s tools as well as strengthen his throwing arm, his speed in 30- or 60-yards dash and his body in general. By focusing on strengthening the body first it will be easier to improve the abilities in offense, defense and the athletic condition will improve on its own.

Precisely that is the training system that Ramón Fernández has developed over the years with always positive effectiveness so, when the desire to work hard with proper training and the talent of the player; These three tools together are indicated to achieve maximum sports performance. In the summer camp they will also know how to train and strengthen their own.  This is very important.    

CULTURE:

Traveling players will have the opportunity to acquire training in the ambiance and territory of one of the most distinguished countries in baseball. Sharing practices and games with the youth players of the Dominican Republic.

CAMP HIGHLIGHTS:

- All our instructors are retired Minor League Professional Players. 

- Catchers, Pitchers, Infielders and Outfielders will have their own instructor. 

- Beach excursions complete with beach baseball work out.  

- Practices and games will be broadcast live on Facebook and Instagram.

- Parents are welcome to join their players! 

- Advice and evaluation for athletes from an international Scout (NO COST).

WHAT WILL WE COVER?

HOTEL:

The players will stay 14 nights at the 4-stars Hotel HODELP GARDEN COURT in Santiago. The athletes will stay in a room with 2 beds.  

THERE WILL BE NO COST FOR PARENTS STAYING IN THE SAME ROOM WITH THEIR CHILDREN.

Players are NOT allowed to leave the Hotel alone. 

Ramón Fernández will be always involved with the athletes, staying in the same hotel as well.

TRANSPORTARTION:

Private transportation from Cibao International Airport (STI) to the Hotel (5 minutes away). From Hotel to the baseball fields (10 minutes). Beach workout as well

Only players will have transportation included.

ATHLETIC TRAINER:

A certified athletic trainer will travel with players

FOOD:

3 meals a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner, hydration and snacks throughout the day.

TRAINING AND GAMES:

EACH MORNING TRAINING WILL INCLUDE:

HITTING:

Batting practice in outdoor field, batting cage, bunts, improving swing sequence, work out and technique to acquire more power.

PITCHING:

Clinics to improve the strike zone and better control of pitches such as fastball, curveball, split finger and slider and more... specific work out to improve more miles on pitches.

CATCHING:

Defense, exercises to strengthen the arm, techniques to improve your throwing time to second base, techniques to catch professionally different pitches.

SPEED TRAINING:

Techniques to improve speed in 30- and 60-yards dash, stealing bases, agility, skills that will help improve acceleration from home to first on ground balls. Quick reaction in defense (the first two steps)   

All speed training and base running will be provided by Ramón Fernández.  

Fundamentals of the game for position players: offensive and defensive.

CONDITIONING:  

After morning practice, all players will have at least 60 minutes of conditioning, Ramón Fernández will also provide agility and leg strengthening. Conditioning is the base for all sports, especially in baseball. (Athletes must include conditioning in practice) and we will teach them how and when to apply it.

GAMES:  

Players will also gain experience and further build fortify skills by competing and playing with different baseball academies in the Dominican Republic.
