COMPETITION:

Our goal at this summer baseball camp is to quickly equip and develop the athlete\'s skills, as well as strengthen their throwing arm, their speed in 30- and 60-yard dashes, and their overall physical conditioning. By focusing first on physical strength, it will be easier to improve offensive and defensive skills, and athletic conditioning will naturally improve.

This is precisely the training system that Ramón Fernández has developed over the years with consistently positive results. So, when the desire to work hard arises, combined with the right training and the player\'s talent, these three elements together are ideal for achieving peak athletic performance. At the summer camp, we will also teach them how to train themselves. This is very important.

CULTURE:

Traveling players will have the opportunity to receive training in the environment and territory of one of the most distinguished baseball nations, sharing practices and games with the youth players of the Dominican Republic.

CAMP HIGHLIGHTS:

WHAT\'S INCLUDED?

HOTEL:

The players will stay for 14 nights at the 4-star HODELP GARDEN COURT Hotel in Santiago. The athletes will be accommodated in a room with two beds.

There will be no additional cost for parents staying in the same room as their children.

Players may not leave the hotel unaccompanied.

Ramón Fernández will be with the athletes at all times and will also be staying at the same hotel.

TRANSPORTATION:

Private transportation from Cibao International Airport (STI) to the hotel (5 minutes). From the hotel to the baseball fields (10 minutes). Transportation to the beach training grounds will also be provided.

Only the players will have transportation included.

ATHLETIC TRAINER:

A certified athletic trainer will travel with the players.

MEALS:

Three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus hydration and snacks throughout the day.

TRAINING AND GAMES:

EACH MORNING PRACTICE WILL INCLUDE:

BATING:

Outdoor batting practice, batting cage, bunts, swing sequence improvement, and training and technique to develop more power.

PITCHER:

Clinics to improve the strike zone and better control of pitches such as fastballs, curveballs, split-finger pitches, sliders, and more... specific drills to throw harder and gain more speed on pitches.

CATCHER:

Defense, arm strengthening exercises, techniques to improve throw time to second base, and techniques for professionally catching various pitches.

SPEED TRAINING:

Techniques to improve 30- and 60-yard dash speed, base stealing, agility, and skills to improve acceleration from home to first on ground balls. Quick reaction time on defense (first two steps).

All speed and baserunning training will be led by Ramón Fernández.

Fundamentals of the game for all position players: offensive and defensive.

CONDITIONING:

After morning practice, or in the mornings, all players will have at least 60 minutes of conditioning. Ramón Fernández will also contribute agility and leg strengthening exercises. Conditioning is the foundation of all sports, especially baseball. (Athletes should include conditioning in their practices.) We will teach them how and when to apply it.

GAMES:

Players will also gain experience and further strengthen their skills by competing and playing with different baseball academies in the Dominican Republic.
